Step 2 of 2

Take a photo for accurate analysis

Imagine you're taking a passport photo. Colour analysis is a science — clear, neutral lighting is essential.

Do: face the window so daylight hits your face evenly with no shadows
✓ Do — face the window
Don't: window to the side creates harsh shadows across the face
✕ Don't — window to the side

For best results

  • Face the window — daylight should hit your face full-on, evenly, with no shadow across it
  • • Camera positioned in front of the window, lens pointing back at you
  • • Avoid side-lighting, direct sun, lamps, or coloured walls
  • • Plain white or off-white wall behind you
  • No makeup, hair tied back
  • • Plain neutral top (white or grey)
  • Head & shoulders in frame — prop your phone up or hold at arm's length
  • • Camera at eye level, neutral expression

Your photo is sent securely for analysis and is not stored.
